Post Baby Resin-y Goodness

I have a seriously gorgeous little boy asleep in his crib in my bedroom next door. Three weeks ago he was pushed into the world, and it's been a sleepless crazy cycle of sleeping and waking and changing nappies and making bottles since. I just started to feel like I was starting to get on top of it the other day (as long as we don't leave the house, haven't got that proficient yet), which of course was followed quickly by a niggling feeling of dissatisfaction.
I love my son, he is seriously awesome, I am still in that dazed feeling of "seriously? he's mine?" where you stare endlessly at the little person to the disgust of all around you, amazed at what your body managed to make, but it doesn't stop the fact that I haven't been able to do anything jewellery wise since last year when I found out I was pregnant, due to the toxic nature of resin in liquid form.
My first step was just to clean my workbench of the accumulated mess and clutter and dirt at 12am, a stolen moment when my partner was asleep with the baby and the house was quiet. The second to get the tin of resin I haven't opened for months to see if it was still alright. The third.. well, see for yourself

Hey there! Just reading on how you make molds, lamenting it was a shame you haven't blogged in a while then saw you have 2010 posts... And from Yesterday no less! haha It was fate that lead me to you ;) I'm also a Darwinite and have taught at CSC... in Adult Night Classes though :) I've just ordered some supplies for resin-y goodness from the US and am planning on making some goodies and am out there looking for inspiration.

Congrats on your little one too that is just wonderful! Your new works are also fabulous.

(PS I am also a follower of your blog "Plush It")

Hey Sonia, thanks for your kind comments, now at least I know at least one person reads this! There are a lot of local (well Australian suppliers) for resin as well if you decide you like ye olde resin. Hope it all works out for you, let us know if you have any trouble
